Terese Gabucci

Terese “Terry” M. Gabucci is a native New Havener, educated in New Haven public schools, and graduated from Larson Junior College (now Quinnipiac University) and Stone Academy.

In addition to being a founding member of the IAHS of CT, Terry was an officer of the Ladies’ Marchegiana Society of New Haven; was president of the Elm City Ladies Lodge 1757 – Order Sons of Italy in Amer­ica; a member of The Council of a Thousand National Italian American Foundation in Washington, D.C.; and an active member of the Regional Conference Committee of the National Italian American Foundation of Greater New Haven since its inception.

Terry served as president of the American Committee on Italian Migration from 1992-1994, during which time she volunteered in the A.C.I.M. office for immigrants at St. Anthony’s Church, New Haven. Terry is currently serving as treasurer of the Greater New Haven Lodge #37, O.S.I.A.

She has served as Scholarship Chairperson, Ways and Means Chairperson and Cultural Chairperson for the Connecticut Grand Lodge, Order Sons of Italy in America.

She was the State Chairperson for the Commission on Social Justice-Order Sons of Italy in America, 2001-2003. Terry was awarded the “Good Citizen Award” by the Connecticut Grand Lodge O.S.I.A 2001. She is currently the State Chairperson of the scholarship committee for the Connecticut Grand Lodge O.S.I.A.
